Indian Restaurant Berlin

Modern Indian Soulfood in Charlottenburg

Soon we’ll be setting the table on Kantstraße. Our Indian restaurant in Berlin-Charlottenburg represents a house in Kerala, the green south of India. It has grown over generations: the teakwood has seen a lot, the brass gleams softly in the light, and by the door you can already smell curry leaves. A home where people cook, laugh, and share. Come on in—you’re invited.

Modern Indian Soul Food: This is eatDOORI

eatDOORI was born from a feeling: sitting at the family table back home in India. Bowls are placed in the middle, everyone talks at once, friends drop by spontaneously, and there’s always enough for everyone. We couldn’t find Indian food like that anywhere in Germany for a long time—so we cook it ourselves: real Indian cuisine, the way it’s served at our home, with recipes passed down by mothers, plus our own ideas. If anyone leaves our place still hungry, they weren’t really our guest.

Indian Restaurant Berlin: a house in Kerala

Every eatDOORI tells its own story from India. In Berlin, it’s the story of an old family home in the backwaters of Kerala, where land meets water. Our bar is The Backwater Jetty, the landing stage: old boat wood, bamboo, rope weave, and patinated brass—light, open, and relaxed, the perfect place for the first drink. At the entrance is the Thinnai, our veranda and cosy corner. Here you sit with the neighbours, and strangers become guests.

From the courtyard to Grandfather’s quiet corner

At the heart of the house is the Nadumuttam, an open courtyard with light from above, dark granite flooring, deep green, and a kind of well in the ceiling. In the Thekkini, the family’s private room, there’s warm amber light, backlit arches, and soft fabrics made from Kerala cotton—space for long evenings. And then there’s the Mundu Room, Grandfather’s quiet corner. We won’t tell you where it is. Just this: every guest finds it sooner or later.

Like being with friends in India at the family table

For us, it’s not just about the food. It’s about that moment when everyone is seated and the first bowl is placed in the middle. Hands reach for naan, someone passes the dal along, laughter comes from the next table. When you visit, you’re not just served—you’re hosted. Everyone tries a bit of everything, and there’s always enough for everyone. That’s exactly how we welcome you: with a Namaste at the door, a story about your dish, and the question of whether you’d like anything else. Go ahead and say yes. There’s always room for a little more.

Freshly cooked, every day

Our menu takes you across India: traditional dishes, street-food classics like chaat, and our own creations with a twist. We cook fresh every day & our chefs bring years of experience from India. Many dishes are vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free, and our meat is halal. The best way to order is together and share: a few bowls in the middle, some naan on the side, and everyone tries a bit of everything. Back home in India, we say: if you don’t eat much, it just means we didn’t offer you enough.

Prefer staying in? Then the food comes to you

Order directly from us on Kantstraße and pick up your food or have it delivered. We’ll pack up what you’d normally share with us at the table and bring it straight to your home or office: freshly cooked just like in the restaurant, at our restaurant prices, with no markups. Whether it’s a relaxed evening on the sofa or a lunch break at the office, Indian soul food from Charlottenburg comes right to you. And if that leaves you wanting more, we’ll set the table for you at our place on Kantstraße.
